RoadTrip
RoadTrip is the week end retreat for senior high students. It's usually held at the end of January. The event is filled with music, speakers, service events, small group Bible study, and worship, not to mention opportunities to meet and make new friends. Registration info is usually sent out each fall. This year's event is January 25-27, 2008 and is being held at the Sheraton in downtown Baltimore. Registration is due December 10, 2007 (late registration December 18). The theme this year is, "We are all one - One in Christ". Be sure to get the registration materials.
Unexpected Leaders
A new DE-MD Synod event April 25-27 to help youth discover and develop their gifts for leadership and service in the church and the world. Up to four middle school youth per congregation may participate. Led by our Lutheran Youth Organization.
Cost: $75 for youth, $85 for adults (includes all meals), scholarships available.
FreeRide
FreeRide is the week end retreat for middle school students. It is held in the fall at YMCA Camp Letts - a beautiful setting along the water. There's great music, speakers, small group Bible study, and service events. On Saturday afternoons there's time to enjoy various activities which may include low and high ropes or canoeing. The registration info for this event is usually distributed during the summer. Save the date for 2008: October 17-19.
